Colon Cleanse – Is It Effective Or An Another Scam
So why should you be looking into a colon cleanse diet? Since colon cleansing has proven to be an extremely affordable way to promote overall health it seems there is a new method or formula that becomes popular every week. Every one of them promises to both cleanse the colon and help you to lose weight. Is there one that will work for you or are they all the same? Do any of them work? It can be difficult to wade through all of this information on your own. For every claim that is made there is another that is almost the complete opposite. First of all it is important to understand the difference between a true colon cleanse diet and a fad diet. To actually cleanse the colon a person would need to take a colon cleansing herbal supplement. All of the diets in the world will not cleanse the colon with the same efficiency that the herbal supplements have been proven to have. To illustrate the point you will need to understand how each method claims to work. Then you can decide for yourself which is more likely. With the diets you are required to restrict food, drink more water, and ingest some type of calories for energy. In the famous lemonade diet, for instance, the only calories ingested come from the maple syrup that is used in the drink mixture. The colon cannot be cleansed in this way as there is no substance involved which would actually cleanse the colon of the waste build up. What happens is your body does detox from the chemicals that are in all of the food we ingest each day, but the colon is not cleansed. This method is actually more of a fast than a colon cleansing. Now consider the method that the colon cleansing herbal supplements use to cleanse the colon. They have an ingredient, usually psyllium husk, which is not digested when introduced into the body. This husk then sweeps through the colon like a broom pushing the waste material from the colon in front of it. This is a very basic example, but it should be fairly clear which one of these two methods is more likely to produce the colon cleansing results you are looking for. In general the colon cleanse diet is more of a fad with a dubious chance of working while the herbal colon cleansing supplements are based on years of research and have proven results. |
